While pets cannot care for themselves, you must make sure that they get routine exams to ensure their health is maintained. It’s important to get exams for your pet early on, as this allows us to build history with your pet, leading to more effective treatment and a healthier relationship with your animal.

At Affordable Animal Hospital, we’ve treated thousands of pets of all ranges of health, along with the full range of breeds. We love animals and we understand what your pet means to you. In our mission to provide affordable care, regularly scheduled exams do wonders for that goal. When you pet comes to see us regularly, we can nip issues in the bud, ideally preventing more comprehensive—and expensive—treatment. While we certainly want to treat issues that arise, we would rather prevent them in the first place.

During your pet’s exams, we’ll give you the full understanding of your pet’s health. We will track any preexisting conditions, as well as perform exams to ensure everything else about your pet is healthy. On a yearly basis, we’ll assess whether your pet needs vaccine updates. At Affordable Animal Care, we want to help you pet live a problem-free life as best we can, and this starts with regular exams.

A typical exam will include the following:

Orthopedic exam of the muscles and joints
Neurological exam
Weighing
Lymph node exam
All vital signs
Examination for unusual growths or wounds on the skin
